Surplus Real Property Advisory (“7/11”) Committee Defined
Pursuantto the State of California Education Code Sections 17388, an advisorycommittee shall be formed to advise the District and the Board ofEducation regarding an alternative use for District surplus property orreal property prior to its disposition by sale, or lease. Pursuant toState of California Education Code Section 17389, the committee shallconsist of not less than seven (7) nor more than eleven (11) members.The committee must represent a cross-section of the community in regardsto socio-economic composition, ethnic group, profession, expertise inland planning, etc.
Formation of the District 7/11 Advisory Committee
The committee includes the following representatives of the community as mandated:
Duties of the District 7/11 Advisory Committee
Thepurpose of the Advisory Committee is to advise the governing board inthe development of the District-wide policies and procedures to governthe use or disposition of the school buildings, space or property whichis not used for school purposes (Education Code Section 17388).
